About Quick Fill ET

Quick Fill ET is an adaptation and expansion of Quick Fill and has been written to combine the established time saving features of Quick Fill with an additional feature of an Event Timer. The Event Timer is an especially essential tool when using online auction web sites.

Quick Fill allows you to store and retrieve vital text in one place. This text can be quickly and easily be accessed. When used in conjunction with the Event Timer, for online auctions, hours can be saved re-using standard emails, feedback, advertising text, figures, questions and much more.

The Event Timer function allows you to save a date and time, will alert you when that time is nearing the end and even open a specific web page.

This software will work with forms, the Internet, online auctions, databases, word processors and all software where you use or enter text or require an alert system.

Note: We recommend that you do not store credit card details or bank details using quick fill.

Event Timer overview

The Event timer is specifically designed for use with online auction web sites to keep track and alert you when your sales or purchase auctions are ending, but can basically be used to alert you for any reason and open any web site you choose.

Note: Your computer clock will need to be set reasonably accurately with the auction web site you use. Ebay, for example, has a link to the correct ebay time on its home page. To set your computer's clock simply double click the clock in the bottom right corner of your screen.

You can enter as many event times as you wish which appear in list form showing the time left, a description and a web site address to open, if entered.

To open the Event Timer you need to right click the Quick Fill Icon near clock and select Event Timer from the list.
The Event timer must be running with the icon in the task bar present for it to operate correctly and to alert you when your times have ended. If you close the timer form your times will remain but it will not be able to alert you.

This will open the display form.

Note: If you have a fire wall running this may stop Quick Fill ET from opening the web page you have entered. You will need to allow Quick Fill to access the internet. Quick Fill dose not receive data from the internet or share your information. It will only open the web page URL you have entered.

Adding and editing events

This opens a small input form where you enter a description Action URL (web page address). This information can be copied directly from the web page or entered manually.

To enter the end date click the arrow in the date text box where a date pick will appear. To change the time click each time field in turn, hours, mins etc and use your key board to enter the figures.

When you have completed, click the Save button. Your new event will appear in the list in time order.

If you have made an error with you input double click that event in the list. The Edit event form will appear. Make your changes and click Save or to permanently delete this event click the Delete button.

The item in black indicates that the event has not reached you designated alert time. (See Event Timer settings, for more information) .

The item in red indicates that the event is still running but within your alert time. It also means that the alert would have been performed I.E the web page would have opened etc.
